1816 Indiana Rye Whiskey Cocktail Recipes

The Ol' Hoosier
Ingredients:
2 oz. 1816 Rye Whiskey
1/4th oz. Cold Dissolved Simple Syrup
1 Dash of Angostura Bitters
1 Dash Black Walnut Bitters
1 Orange Twist Garnish
1 Deep Burgundy Maraschino Cherry
Instructions:
In a mixing glass, stir together two ounces of 1816 Rye, simple syrup, and bitters. Strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube, rub orange twist over the rim of the glass then garnish with the twist and maraschino cherry.

WARD 8
Ingredients:
2 oz. 1816 Rye Whiskey
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1/4 oz. Orange Juice, fresh
3/4 oz. Pomegranate Based Grenadine
Instructions:
Add 1816 Rye Whiskey, lemon juice, orange juice, grenadine and ice to tin. Shake 8-10 seconds. Strain. Can be served up or over ice. Garnish with lemon twist.

6 Point Buck
Ingredients:
2 oz. 1816 Rye Whiskey
3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
1/2 oz. Ginger Syrup
2-3 Fresh Strawberries
Ginger Beer
Instructions:
Add 1816 Indiana Rye Whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, ginger syrup and strawberries to tin. Lightly muddle. Add ice to tin and shake 8-10 seconds. Strain over ice into highball glass. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with candied ginger and strawberry.

Bourbon Battles Sweet Old Fashioned Submitted by Joe Gruss
Ingredients:
2 oz 1816 Indiana Rye
1/4 oz Creme de cacao or 2 bar spoons
1/4 oz simple syrup or 2 bar spoons
4 drops saline solution
8 drops vanilla extract
Instructions:
Combine the above in a bar mixing glass with ice, stir, I give it about 30 rotations as to not dilute. Pour into rocks glass with one large ice cube. Garnish with a toasted marshmallow on a bamboo pick. Leave the garnish on the rim of the glass. The aroma elevates the cocktail.

1816 BLINKER
Ingredients:
2 oz. 1816 Rye Whiskey
1 oz. Fresh Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz. Raspberry Syrup
Instructions:
Add 1816 Rye Whiskey, grapefruit juice and raspberry syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with skewered raspberries.

Bourbon Battles Spicy Old Fashioned Submitted by Joe Gruss
Ingredients:
2oz 1816 Indiana Rye
1/2 oz simple syrup or demerara
1/2 oz Ancho Reyes Chile Ancho Liquor
2 dashes regular bitter
2 dashes orange bitter
Instructions:
Build in a rocks glass and stir all ingredients. Lower large ice cube into glass with spoon, so as to not splash. Express large lemon peel and drop it in. Drop in one Luxardo cherry, make sure its not dripping with syrup.

Ingredients:
2 oz 1816 Indiana Rye
House-made Vanilla Demerara
Creme de Cassis
Lemon juice
Muddled blackberries
Instructions:
The instructions are a closely guarded Lighthouse secret. If you're in the area, we highly recommend. "The vanilla and fruit echo and compliment the character of the 1816 Rye" –Morgan.

1816 Boulevardier
Ingredients:
2 oz. 1816 Rye Whiskey
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce sweet vermouth
Orange twist
Instructions:
Add 1816 Rye Whiskey, Campari and sweet vermouth into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with the orange twist.

MIDWEST STANDARD
Ingredients:
2.5 oz. 1816 Indiana Rye
1 oz. Carpano Antica vermouth
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 tsp. Tempus Fugit Fernet Angelico
1 tsp. Tempus Fugit Gran Classico
Luxardo 3 cherries
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 30 revolutions. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with 3 cherries on a pick and serve.

Kristin Rose's Rye Tai Submitted by Kristin Rose
Ingredients:
2 oz 1816 Indiana Rye
3/4 oz. Lemon juice
3/4 oz. Dole Pineapple juice
3/4 oz. Orgeat
6-8 dashes Angostura bitters
Pineapple leaves and cherry for garnish
Instructions:
In a shaker, combine all ingredients except for bitters. Add ice and shake until chilled. Pour over fresh ice into a tiki cup and add in your dashes of bitters. Garnish with some pineapple leaves and a cherry. Cheers! 🏝️🥃

APPLE of our RYE Hot Cider & Tahitian Vanilla 1816
Ingredients:
1/2 gallon fresh apple cider
1 1/2 cups 1816 Vanilla Rye Whiskey
2 tablespoons local honey
2 whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
Sliced fresh apples and cinnamon stick for garnish
Instructions:
Place all of the ingredients except the Tahitian Vanilla infused 1816 Rye Whiskey in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let the mixture simmer and steep on low for 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and drain in a fine mesh colander to remove the cinnamon sticks and cloves. Stir in the Tahitian Vanilla infused 1816 Rye Whiskey. Serve warm. Great for holiday gatherings our just enjoyed outside by the fire!
